The Taiwan Experience

Erin Gomez senior at Carson High school, was one of the luckiest individuals who had the opportunity to have an all paid for experience to travel to Taiwan. This amazing student was fortunate enough to learn more about the culture and language.

She stated, “I was forced to the scholarship but I don’t regret it. I  made many friends and learned the difference between the chinese and taiwanese culture. I basically gained and experience by traveling and learning another language. I had to write an essay then make a video about my carson school life and the education here in America. Nike Stepped Up

Colin Kaepernick being announced as one of Nike’s new spokesman has created much controversy through their consumers, especially after Nike aired his ad on September 6th. He is the face of protest through racial injustice inflicted by police brutality, being the reason he has knelt during the national anthem.

Nike, having such a diverse customer base, has now been divided into those who support Kaepernick’s actions and those who don’t quite align with his beliefs. However it seems to be that Nike had made a smart marketing decision, their sales jumped up 31% after introducing his campaign (MarketWatch). Continue reading “Nike Stepped Up”
