Music Festival Season

Music festival season will be here before you know it. Each year, thousands of music fans flock to festivals, eager to experience a host of musicians live in one place. These events may last for one day or a full weekend, but each promises a unique music festival lineup. Music festivals, like Coachella, have a wide range of genres, from country to punk to blues, and everything in between.
Many festivals are coming up soon like Hard Summer in August, Camp Flog Gnaw in November, and Rolling Loud in December. Most of these festivals start selling tickets as soon as May, offering layaway plans for the festival goers.
Carson High school senior, Andres Vera stated, “I’m attending Hard Summer, Rolling Loud, and Camp Flog Gnaw. My preference, I could care less about Rolling Loud and Hard Summer , I’m just going for my friends.”
Many people prefer different festivals over others, either because of the music genres/artists or just the crowd of people who attend the festival.
An average music festival ticket price ranges from $90 up to $1000 depending on general admission or VIP tickets, lay away plans do help but only to a certain extent.
CHS junior Reymar Razon said “ I do want to attend music festivals but it’s too pricey.”
Festivals can be fun and a lifetime experience but it’s a luxury. As a student, save up and treat yourself to a good time.
